Slip Band

With three other members in January 2019, we formed the band Slip to promote critical thinking via popular music.

While the bandleader Yunlong is a composer with conservatory of music training, the other two members are novelist Lucia and a LGBT activist Alex. We wish to break disciplinary boundaries with popular music.

I am the drummer, supporting vocal and lyricist of Slip.

Song 1: Isabelle

Isabelle is a bosa nova love song.

It is composed and produced by Yunlong and lyrics is written by Lucia.

We did the finale performance in the Oxford New Year Gala 2019.

Song 2 Dream of Science

Dream of science is inspired by silkpunk.

All band members wrote the lyrics collectively while the bandleader was the composer and producer.

In Oct 2019, We performed for a consecutive week during the National Day holiday for the China Science and Technology Museum event Nocturne of Science in Beijing. Dream of Science is the theme song for the event. The event is reported by multiple media including sohu news, gov.cn and etc.

Song 3: city in the rain

City in the Rain is alternative rock song about posthuman queer love.

The song is composed and producer by Yunlong and the lyrics are written by me, I elaborate in the creative writing section.
